BA (Honors) Game Art & Design

The word ‘game art’ sounds very simple, but it is not for everyone. It requires a lot of passion and commitment. Game design & development is the world’s largest and fastest-growing sector in the Media & Entertainment Industry. Its wings are spreading more than Tollywood, Bollywood, Hollywood industries, making billions of dollars in the global market every year.

Game Art & Design is a subdivision of game environment and it is the process of crafting the imaginative aspects for video games. Game art design begins in the pre-production phase in coordination with visual artists involved right from the concept of the game, rough sketches of the characters, objects, and back-ground environment etc. Sometimes, these conceptual based designs will be created by the game designers before the game is moved into execution.

‘BA (HONORS)’ in GAME ART & DESIGN

It is a career-oriented 4-year bachelor’s degree program custom-made especially for 10+2 completed aspirants, who want to prove themselves in the Media & Entertainment industry. This program is endorsed by Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, and upon successful completion of this program; students will be awarded with a bachelor’s degree from the JNAFA University.
The curriculum is developed by industry professionals and subject matter experts considering the production pipeline, and based on the choice-based credit system (CBCS) norms. CBCS parameter is predefined by the UGC and it includes discipline-specific electives, general electives, ability enhancement compulsory courses, and skill enhancement subjects.

The training will be imparted through theory lectures, practicals, and internships, while the learning outcomes are evaluated through mid-term examinations, internal assessments, written & practical exams, project, viva-voce, and portfolio development.
